Real advised NREP Altura with the acquisition of a portfolio of 22 social infrastructure buildings to a value of nearly SEK 5 billion. The transaction is the biggest transaction regarding modern care properties in Sweden ever.
The portfolio, acquired from Vectura, consists of 20 care homes and 2 pre-schools with a total leasable area of 99,500 sqm, located across 18 municipalities in the Stockholm, Mälardalen and Dalarna regions as well as the southern and western parts of Sweden. The majority of the properties were built between 2018-2022 and one is currently being projected. Altura’s total stock of properties focused on elder care will through the transaction expand to a total of approximately 3,000 apartments divided between 60 properties to a property value of around SEK 14 billion. Thus, Altura is one of the biggest owner and manager of modern care properties in the country.
Altura, which is a part of NREP, owns, manages and develop social infrastructure properties with a primary focus on care homes in the Nordic countries. The properties are adapted to the end users, as well as care operators, with the latest technique and sustainable materials to reduce the environmental impact without compromising the comfort. Altura is a long-term developer and shall be the natural partner of public, as well as private, care operators.
