Real advised Thon Sverige AB on the acquisition of the leasehold Stockholm Lagern 7 from Svenska Journalistförbundet. Situated on this leasehold is an office building from 1886, known as Journalisternas Hus, with an area of approximately 2,740 square metres. The takeover of the leasehold occurred on 7 February 2025.
The property is located on the same street as the Terminus Hotel, which Olav Thon Gruppen (OTG) acquired at the end of 2023. This hotel is currently undergoing renovation and is scheduled to open as Thon Hotel Vasa in 2026.
OTG already owns several commercial properties in Sweden. Internationally, OTG is a significant owner of hotel properties and a major hotel operator through Thon Hotels. In Stockholm, there are already one Thon Hotel through partnership: Hotel Kungsbron. In Norway, Thon owns all its hotel properties, totalling around 70. The group also owns the properties where several of its hotels in Belgium and the Netherlands are located. In total, there are more than 90 Thon Hotels across five countries.
